Privacy Policy

This page describes how The Heirloom Kitchen handles information collected through the site. Last updated August 11, 2026.

What we collect

You can browse recipes without an account. If you create an account, the site may store the email address associated with your sign-in and the recipes you save. If you join the newsletter, we collect the email address you submit and may record the recipe or category where you signed up so newsletter content can be organized appropriately.

We may also receive ordinary technical information associated with site requests, such as IP address, browser or device information, referring pages, and timestamps, through hosting, security, analytics, email, or advertising services.

How we use information

Account information is used to provide sign-in and saved-recipe features. Newsletter information is used to manage subscriptions and send the emails a subscriber requested. Technical and analytics information may be used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site. We do not sell our own subscriber list or account information to advertisers.

Accounts and sign-in

Authentication is handled by third-party hosting and authentication services. Password credentials are processed by the authentication provider rather than displayed to The Heirloom Kitchen. If you choose a third-party sign-in option such as Google, that provider also applies its own privacy terms to the sign-in process.

Newsletter and MailerLite

The Heirloom Kitchen uses MailerLite to manage newsletter subscribers and email delivery. When you submit a newsletter form, your email address is sent to MailerLite and may be associated with limited signup context, such as a recipe or category. MailerLite processes subscriber information as an email-service provider on behalf of its customers.

Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe option. You can unsubscribe at any time using that link or contact hello@theheirloomkitchen.co for help with a subscription or deletion request.

Cookies and browser storage

The site and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for sign-in, saved preferences, security, analytics, newsletter functionality, and advertising. The exact technologies present can change as site services are enabled, disabled, or updated.

Advertising

The site may use Google AdSense or other advertising services. When advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies for functions such as ad delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention, measurement, and, where permitted, personalized advertising based on browsing activity.

Google provides controls for ad personalization through its own advertising settings. Your browser, device, or applicable consent controls may also provide ways to limit cookies or personalized advertising.

Analytics

The site may use analytics services to understand page views, traffic sources, device types, and general site usage. Analytics providers may process technical information and use cookies or similar identifiers subject to their own policies and the settings available to you.

Affiliate links

Some Kitchen Favorites and recipe-tool links are Amazon affiliate links. If you follow an affiliate link, the destination retailer may set its own cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy. The Heirloom Kitchen may receive a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

Messages you send

If you email a recipe question, correction, licensing question, or privacy request, we receive the email address and any information you choose to include. That information is used to respond to the message, investigate the issue, or fulfill the request.

Data choices and deletion

You can remove saved recipes through the site, unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link, and request deletion of account or subscriber information by emailing hello@theheirloomkitchen.co. Some service providers may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or their own documented retention requirements.

Third-party services

Providers used for hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, advertising, and affiliate commerce process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Following a link to another website also makes that website’s privacy practices applicable to your visit there.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site adds, removes, or materially changes a service. The date at the top of this page will be updated when substantive changes are made.
