What we collect

You can browse every recipe without an account. If you create one, we store the email address you sign up with and the list of recipes you save to your favorites. We do not ask for a payment method, a mailing address, or a phone number.

How we use it

Your email is used to sign you in and to recover your account. Your saved recipes are used to show your favorites list back to you. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Accounts and sign-in

Sign-in is handled by our hosting and authentication provider. Passwords are stored hashed by that provider and are never visible to us. If you sign in with Google, we receive only the email address associated with that account.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in between visits.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to serve ads. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads to you based on your prior visits to this site or to other websites. Those ads may be personalized based on your browsing history and the data those vendors have collected.

Some links on our Kitchen Favorites page are Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set its own cookies once you leave this site; their privacy policy applies from that point.

Email collection and newsletters

We do not currently collect emails for a newsletter, recipe alerts, or any other mailing list. If we add email collection in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what we collect and how we use it.

Data from messages you send us

If you email us with a question, recipe request, or data deletion request, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use that information only to respond to you and to fulfill any request you make.

Deleting your data

You can remove any saved recipe at any time from your favorites list. If you would like your account and all associated data deleted, or if you have any privacy-related questions, write to us at hello@theheirloomkitchen.co. We will honor deletion requests and do our best to respond within a few days.
